Nominations for 2025 A Place to be Proud of Awards are now open
Nominations are now open for 2025 – so let’s shine a light on our local community heroes.
The judges’ advice for 2025 is just try and sum up why you think the nominee deserves to be recognised, and be guided by the information on the category entry form. Keep it simple and try and evidence what you say. Check the detail of the category to make sure you are entering the best one.
You can enter yourself, a group, organisation, project or business you represent, or nominate someone else: an individual, group, project, business or organisation that you feel is deserving of an award.

Terms and Conditions
Please ensure you have read the terms and conditions of entry before proceeding. Please ensure when you nominate someone, they have given their permission for you to provide their contact details for the purposes of this project.
Closing date is March 14, 2025.
In making the entry you confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions, which are:
- All nominated individuals or organisations must live, work, be based in or serve the area covered by the borough boundaries of Basingstoke and Deane.
- Submit nominations in as many categories as you wish, but a separate entry form must be submitted for each category.
- All personal information on entries will be handled in confidence and will not be made available to any other party not involved with the awards, without the prior agreement of the nominee.
- Nominators must be aware that some general information about the nominee will be published in the event programme.
- The nominated individual or group and their nominators must be willing to talk to the media about the nominee’s achievements.
- Judging will take place during April 2025. The category finalists will be invited to the Awards evening on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
- The judges' decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into
- Sponsors/their employees/families cannot enter the category their company has sponsored.
- Destination Basingstoke reserves the right to move nominations between categories as appropriate.
- Photographs and video taken at the awards evening may be used in future promotional material. Please let us know if you or your nominee does not wish to appear in any published photos.
