Complete the form below to nominate someone, a group, an organisation or a project for an award. Just try and sum up why you think they deserve it by explaining what it is they do that helps make Basingstoke and Deane a better place. Keep it simple and try and evidence what you say. Check the detail of the category to make sure you are entering the best one.

You can enter yourself, a group, organisation, project or business you represent or nominate someone else: an individual,  group, project, business or organisation that you feel are deserving of an award.

We are looking forward to seeing entries from right across the borough for all sorts of activities.

Terms and Conditions

Please ensure you have read the terms and conditions of entry before proceeding. Please ensure when you nominate someone, they have given their permission for you to provide their contact details for the purposes of this project.

Closing date is 3rd May 2024.

In making the entry you confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions, which are:

  • All nominated individuals or organisations must live, work, be based in or serve the area covered by the borough boundaries of Basingstoke and Deane.
  • Submit nominations in as many categories as you wish, but a separate entry form must be submitted for each category.
  • All personal information on entries will be handled in confidence and will not be made available to any other party not involved with the awards, without the prior agreement of the nominee..
  • Nominators must be aware that some general information about the nominee will be published in the event programme.
  • The nominated individual or group and their nominators must be willing to talk to the media about the nominee’s achievements..
  • Judging will take place during May 2024. A selection of nominees and their nominators will be invited to the Awards evening on 6th June 2024.
  • The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Sponsors of categories cannot enter the category they have sponsored. Individuals who work for sponsors are able to enter the category.
  • Destination Basingstoke reserve the right to move nominations between categories as appropriate..
  • Photographs taken at the awards evening may be used in future promotional material, please let us know if you or your nominee does not wish to appear in any published photos.

2024 Place to Be Proud Of Nomination Form

  • Please give as much detail as possible as if you were introducing them to someone for the first time. . Who are they, why you have nominated him/her/them. (Max 200 words)
  • Please give as much detail as possible so we really understand why they are deserving - assume we know nothing about it and make sure you do them justice! (Minimum 250 words, maximum 500 words)
  • Please give examples of what the person or group have done. yYou have the opportunity to upload 3 documents to underpin the nomination with examples max size 50MB in the following formats PDF or word, plus 1 media file max size 1MB in the following format JPEG, GIF, PNG, PDF or TIF
