Basingstoke Phillips Law Half Marathon & 10k Run
Known for the friendly welcome, traffic free roads and scenic course, the Destination Basingstoke-organised Phillips Law Basingstoke Half Marathon is a ‘must do’ race.
Basingstoke Half Marathon has built up a reputation that puts it on a level with some of the great races in the south, yet it retains a real community feel.
Just read some of the fantastic race reviews (see RaceCheck) to get a feel for this much-loved event. We are GOLD rated and are proud of that – thanks for your support in getting us there!
In 2023, we changed the 10k route to make it easier for runners to clock up faster times, and added two family-friendly races for children – one aged five-10 and the other 11-15. These will all feature in the 2024 event on Sunday, October 6.

Children's races
YOUNG runners can experience all the fun of the Destination Basingstoke Phillips Law Half Marathon and 10K event with two children’s races.
Event headline sponsor Phillips Law have increased their sponsorship of the event to enable organiser Destination Basingstoke to deliver two free new one-mile races – one for youngsters aged 5-10 and the other for 11-15 year olds.
The children’s races take place before the Half Marathon and 10K on Sunday, October 6 2023, and will see the young runners complete a course which will use the start and finish points of the main events.
The number of places for the children’s races is limited to 300 overall – it is hoped that will be a fairly event split between the two events.
Each participant will get a special event medal. To register to take part, entrants need the permission of a parent or guardian, and entry can be done by going to the link below.
