Destination Basingstoke is operated through a non-executive board of directors, who all serve Destination Basingstoke on a voluntary basis.

Jon Pender

Jonathan Pender, Chairman & Company Secretary

Jonathan has been a Partner at Phillips Solicitors in the heart of Basingstoke since its formation in 1986 leading on the corporate and commercial aspects of the business. Jonathan’s role with Destination Basingstoke has grown over the years alongside Phillips Solicitors and they became Core Sponsors in 2012. Phillips has been particularly involved with the Half Marathon as the event’s main sponsor. As a keen marathon runner himself Jonathan has run all Basingstoke Half Marathons.

Neil is the Centre Director of Basingstoke’s shopping centre, Festival Place.

Beryl Huntingdon is Managing Director of Absolutely Offices and has a number of business and community interests in the Basingstoke area and appreciates the importance of extending the reach and reputation of Basingstoke and has been an enthusiastic supporter of Destination Basingstoke’s work over the years.

Mike Sheldon, Director

Mike was appointed as Managing Director of Vitacress Salads Limited, based near Andover, in November 2018.

Prior to Joining Vitacress, Mike enjoyed a long career of nearly 25 years in the dairy industry. He held several senior management roles at Dairy Crest Ltd.

Mike lives in Wokingham and was a keen sportsman but now spends more time watching than playing!

Julie is the Operations Director for Medical Services at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
