Meet The Destination Basingstoke Team

Jane Stewart, centre, is Managing Director of Team DB. Jane was marketing manager at Festival Place, and played a key role in delivering the new shopping centre, which opened in 2002. Jane’s impressive career also includes time as chief executive of Basingstoke Business Improvement District (BID). 

Mark Jones is DB’s Partnerships Manager. A former editor of The Gazette for 13 years, Mark has worked in and around Basingstoke for more than 25 years including in the charity sector.

Elizabeth Spencer is DB’s Events Manager. Elizabeth has extensive experience of the hospitality and events industry and, like Jane and Mark, is well connected in the Basingstoke and Deane area.

Jon Pender

Jonathan Pender, Chairman & Company Secretary

Jonathan has been a Partner at Phillips Solicitors in the heart of Basingstoke since its formation in 1986 leading on the corporate and commercial aspects of the business. Jonathan’s role with Destination Basingstoke has grown over the years alongside Phillips Solicitors and they became Core Sponsors in 2012. Phillips has been particularly involved with the Half Marathon as the event’s main sponsor. As a keen marathon runner himself Jonathan has run all Basingstoke Half Marathons.
