Basingstoke Phillips Law Half Marathon and 10k volunteers
You don’t have to be a runner to get involved in the Basingstoke Phillips Law Half Marathon and 10k – we would love to hear from anyone able to commit a few hours on the first Sunday of October each year. There are lots of jobs to do to help ensure our runners have the best possible day. It’s a fun way to be part of the special team that make this great event happen – helping runners to achieve personal goals and raise thousands of pounds for local good causes.
Our marshals are regularly complimented by many of the runners as really making the difference on a challenging route. If you would like to be part of this team, we’d love to hear from you.

We Need
- Route marshals posted around the course directing runners
- Marshals near the start and finish directing runners and making sure that spectators are in the right place.
Route marshals can earn £30 for our event headline charity St. Michael’s Hospice or a charity or good cause of their choice. You will need to attend a briefing meeting one evening in the week before the event (details tbc).
