I began running seriously in 2011 and have progressed steadily ever since focusing on speed and distance running, I train with Basingstoke & mid Hants AC. I spend my time competing in various races all over the UK, I’m currently marathon training at the moment. I’m an experienced half marathon distance runner and look forward to pacing for all those keen to achieve that sub 1:30.

Basingstoke Half Marathon is a fantastic well organised event which I look forward to every year. Please come and say hello on the day.

I started running at 35, having had a pretty successful footballing career in my younger days. I have been running with BMHAC for about 10 years, having started out at Chineham Park Running Club. I love running around the mountains in the Alps, and came third in the Farnham Pilgrims Marathon in September.

I started running back in 2016  when I ran my first half marathon, which in fact was the Basingstoke half! I fell in love with running from then onwards and have been lucky enough to be part of lots of great races and events over the years.  I was lucky enough to qualify for the Boston marathon this year, a once in a lifetime experience!

I love running with others and helping people achieve their running goals, so am hugely looking forward to helping people hoping to reach their 1:45 goal this year.

I am a member of OS (Ordnance Survey) Runners and race regularly in distances from 5k to marathon. I’ve done over 20 half marathons and in that time have seen my time drop from over 2 hours to the current, just under, 90 minutes.

The 2018 event was my first “professional” pacing and I was fortunate enough to be asked to pace again this year. This summer I’ve run the course several times with friends to practice finishing in 1:45 and also find the easiest way to run that time – you’ll know the course isn’t flat so smooth 8:00m/m pace wouldn’t be in your best interests.

Come up and say hello before the event, and if 1:45 is your goal, stick with me – we’ll get there together. Lots of you will also know me as a Basingstoke parkrun regular.

I started running in 2011 to train for the first Basingstoke Half Marathon.  Since that race I have gone on to run various marathons including international ones, and also have a fair few ultras under my belt.  I am a coach for Chineham Park Running Club and for the past 9 years have helped runners train on the Basingstoke Half Marathon course.

I really enjoy helping other runners achieve their goals and am really excited to be pacing again this year.  If sub 2 hours is your goal, I’ll get you there!

I have been running for around 10 years and am one of the original members of Hatch Warren Runners. I am a qualified run leader and regularly organise club runs. I loved being one of the recent volunteers for our couch to 5k programme – it was an amazing buzz to see the group completing park run at the event of the course.

I really enjoy running with a variety of people, taking in the beautiful countryside around us and hopefully enjoying a laugh or two along the way. There may be the occasional dad joke or pun…apologies in advance!

I started running in 2012 after being inspired by my friends running their first Basingstoke Half Marathon in 2011. My first half marathon was Basingstoke and I’ve gone on to complete various distances up to 100 miles. I’m currently chairman or Hatch Warren Runners and love nothing more than helping other runners achieve their running goals. I spend most of my training runs out on the Basingstoke Half hills and look forward to helping runners break 2 hours at this fantastic event. Let’s do this!

I started running in 2008, when a good friend of mine challenged me to run rather than walk the Race 4 Life that year. She put together a training schedule for me and I successfully followed the plan, completed the race and found that I really loved to run. I subsequently completed my first marathon – London in 2011, this year will see me complete my 15th marathon. I am a member of a local running club – Sherfield Park Runners and I am an ever present runner and an ever present pacer, so I know the course really well. My course PB is 1hr 57 mins and I hope to be able to run each year for as long as possible to maintain my ever present status.

I very much look forward to helping fellow runners achieve the finish time of 2hrs 15 mins.

I caught the running bug pretty badly about 4 years ago. I’m now a run leader with Chineham Park Running Club, I’ve paced at several events in the past from 10k’s to half marathons. I know the Basingstoke Half course well and finished the race in 2021 in 1hr 38 mins.
