Diversity and Inclusion Champion
This new award is to recognise businesses that are embedding the principles of diversity and inclusion into their business culture and can be held up as shining examples of good practice.
Entries will be assessed on their answers to following questions
- What steps has your company taken to empower people by respecting and appreciating what makes them different in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, education, and national origin?
- Give examples of specific practices that ensure all voices are heard, whether as direct/indirect employees of your organisation, or as clients/suppliers of your business
- How do you meet individual needs and what procedures are in place for people to provide feedback?
To enter the Inspire Awards your business must pay business rates to one of the following local authorities:
- Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council
- Test Valley Borough Council
- Rushmoor Borough Council
- Hart District Council

This award is open to any business that can demonstrate how they are embedding diversity and inclusion principles in their business culture Please note that your data will only be used for the purpose of entering the INSPIRE awards, and you will only be contacted in regards to your entry unless you give us your consent to do so otherwise (tick boxes at the end of the form).

Inspire Awards Entry Guidelines
- Entries for the INSPIRE will close on 6th March 2023
- Judging takes place once entries have closed when finalists from each category are chosen.
- Selected finalists will be invited to a media event (27 March 2023 TBC)
- Unsuccessful entrants will be informed by email
- Finalists will have a 30-minute meeting with judges (17-19 April TBC) before a decision on the winner is made
- The INSPIRE business awards judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Due to the number of entries, feedback on individual entries cannot be given.
- Winners will be announced at the awards evening on 16th July 2023. All receive a free ticket to attend
- Each entry has a 1000 word limit, this is split across each of the questions.
- We recommend that you write your entry in a saved document then cut and paste it into the entry form
- Finalists and winners must be willing to talk to the media about their business achievements.
- Your business must pay (if required to do so) business rates to one of the following local authorities: Test Valley Borough Council Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council Rushmoor Borough Council Hart District Council
- Please do not send additional supporting documents to your entry
- You should receive an email confirmation that your entry has been received, please contact us if you do not receive a confirmation
