Frequently Asked Questions

Will the event run on the advertised date?

Yes, we still fully expect the event to run on the advertised date of 2nd October 2022. However should there be a lockdown / other restrictive measures closer to the event, then we will re-evaluate – health and safety has to be the priority.

What happens if the race gets cancelled or postponed?

A full refund will be available in the event of complete cancellation, alternatively you can request that your entry is deferred to the next year.

In the event of postponement, there 3 options:

    • REFUND – refunds are available but must be requested by an advertised deadline date. If a refund is not requested, you will be automatically entered for the race on the new date.
    • DEFER – You can defer for free to the Half Marathon or 10k in 2023
    • TRANSFER – You can transfer your registration for the postponed date to someone else

What happens if I am unable to attend because I have COVID or am required to self-isolate?

If you get COVID or are required to self-isolate in the days just before the race meaning that you are prevented from running, you must contact us as soon as possible with evidence of a notification of the requirement to isolate, and let us know which of the following options you wish to take:

  • DEFER – You can defer for free to the Half Marathon 10k or 5k in 2023
  • TRANSFER – You can transfer your registration across to someone else

What happens if I am unable to attend because I have a non-covid related injury or other personal reasons?

Deferrals or transfers to another runner are available up to the 31st August 2022.
