This Black Tie event will being at 7.00pm with a welcome drink. Following this you will be seated in our modern lecture theatre, where Maria will deliver her fascinating talk on ‘A History of Women in Parliament’.  We will then return upstairs to the Pavillion, where you enjoy a three course meal with wine and coffee.

Maria Miller MP was first elected to represent Basingstoke in the 2005 General Election. Since then she has been blazing a trail as a champion of women’s rights and diversity and is in the vanguard of the campaign to get more women into Parliament. Maria is Chair of the Women & Equalities Committee and was the 265th women to be elected to Parliament where currently there are 208 women MP’s

As always the proceeds from this wonderful evening will go towards our community sponsorship programme, which enables us to support groups to use the Ark Conference Centres facilities free of charge.  We are delighted to have expanded our range of groups we support this year to include Sense UK and Endometriosis support groups, adding to our regular Breast Cancer support, Menieres, Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, Parkinson’s UK and Bereavement groups, amongst others, and we thank you for your continued generosity.
