Design a Hog - Competition!
If you love our Hampshire Hogs – you can have a go at designing your own and you will be in with a chance to win a voucher to paint your own piggy bank at Pots2Paint.
All you need to do is download the Hog template and get creative with your design. All designs will be displayed in Festival Place after the closing date and one lucky winner will receive a voucher to visit Pot2Paint where you can paint your design on your own piggy bank!

How to Enter
- Download and print the Hog template and create your own design – use whatever means you like.
- Submit your design either electronically to info@destinationbasingstoke.co.uk or by post to: Destination Basingstoke, Hog Design Competition, Grove House, Lutyens Close, Basingstoke RG24 8AG to arrive by 17th September 2021. Make sure you include your name, email address and age
- Your design will be displayed in Festival Place after 17th September.
- The winner will be announced after 17th September and will be informed by email.
Terms and Conditions
- Design must be on the template – size A4
- Competition open to all under the age of 18, entrants must have the permission of a parent or carer to enter.
- You must include your name, email and age, with your entry.
- You must be happy for design to be publicly displayed (in Festival Place and on social media) with your first name and age.
- Decision of judge on winner will be final and no correspondence entered in to.
- Designs must reach Destination Basingstoke by 17th September (by email or post)
- No cash alternative for the prize.
- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
- There is no entry fee.
- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- Winner will be informed by email and must be willing to participate in media photo that is used for promotion of the Hampshire Hogs art sculpture trail
- We are unable to return any artwork sent.
- Destination Basingstoke is the promoter of this competition.
Safe Summer Family Fun
The Hogs will be out and about from 10th August until mid October 2021 and will be accompanied by this website and a fun, free to download app. After the event, the Hogs will then be auctioned in aid of a local charity.
Summer fun in 2020 was blighted by Covid19, and we are determined that 2021 should be different.
This project is outdoor, self-guiding through the free app, so easy to social distance and fun for all the family.
It doesn’t rely on venues being open and people can enjoy it 24/7 without having to touch anything apart from their phone to access the app guide.
So even if we are there are restrictions in place the trail can still go ahead, in fact it can be part of everyone’s staycation plans!

If one of the Hogs has taken your fancy, then why not come and bid on it at the charity auction in October.
Not only could you have your own unique piggy work of art, but you will be supporting a great cause too.
