Not able to run? - You could still help us make the Basingstoke Half Marathon a success

You don’t have to be a runner to get involved in the Basingstoke Half Marathon – we would love to hear from anyone able to commit a few hours on the first Sunday of October each year – there will be lots of jobs to do to help ensure our runners have the best possible day, it could be hard work, but it should be fun you will be part of the special team.

Last year our marshals were complimented by many of the runners as really making the difference on a challenging route, if you would like to be part of this team we’d love to hear from you.

We will need route marshals, who will be posted around the course directing runners, marshals near the start and finish directing runners and making sure that spectators are in the right place, helpers before the race giving out timing chips to runners or helping in the baggage tent. We will also need helpers at the finish line to give out medals, goody bags and to collect timing chips from the runners, we will also need helpers to tidy up the site afterwards.

Route marshals can earn £30 for a charity or good cause of their choice, and will need to attend a briefing meeting one evening in the week before the event (details tbc).

If you would like to help please register your interest below and we will be in touch to discuss  what you will do and what hours you can commit. Many thanks for your interest, we look forward to working with you.
