The Malls Refurbishment

The council has unveiled plans to give The Malls shopping centre a facelift.
 
The proposals aim to create a modern open-air shopping centre with attractive outdoor areas, as well as providing a more welcoming entrance to the town from the station.
 
The work on The Malls is part of the council’s ‘master plan’ called the Central Area Vision, to ensure the future vitality and viability of all parts of the town centre.  This envisages a different ‘feel’ for each area of the town centre, which all fit together well and are easy to access.

 Architects’ Concepts For Improving The Centre
