Treasures include the great 12th-century illuminated Winchester Bible, the ledgerstone of England’s much loved novelist Jane Austen and Antony Gormley’s sculpture Sound II.
Guided tours available Monday – Saturday and free children’s trail. The Cathedral Café and Shop offer freshly prepared food, exclusive mementoes and a friendly service all year round.
Open: 9am–5pm (times may vary for services and special events). Evensong: 5.30pm (3.30pm Sunday). Admission: Annual Pass £6, Adult £10, Concessions £4.80, under 16s with family free.
Special events planned for Christmas include a Christmas Market (25 November - 19 December), Ice Rink (25 Nov - 3 Jan) and a special exhibition featuring costumes from the Jane Austen TV and fiilm adaptations.
